What will you learn?
In this self-study course, you will:
learn about the Fauvism art movement;
learn about Matisse and his work through different periods;
learn about Picasso, and in particular his less-known Pink Period;
create a paintings inspired by Matisse’s famous “Green Line”;
use color to express your emotions and create another Fauvist painting;
create a portrait painting using the palette from Piccaso’s Pink Period;
learn to paint fast and loose.

Who is this class for?
This course is for beginner to intermediate artists who would like to learn about Fauvism, Mattise, or Picasso through hands-on fun and quick projects.

What kind of supplies do I need?
Artist grade Oil (I use Gamblin) or Acrylic Paint (such as Golden) in the following colors:
Flake White Replacement, or Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Light
Cadmium Yellow Medium
Gold Ochre, or Yellow Ochre
Cadmium Red Light
Quinacridone Red, or Alizarin Crimson
Transparent Oxide Red
All the colors listed can be substituted, you are the boss!
If you use oil paint, also have
Odorless Mineral Spirit, such as Gamsol, and
Galkye Lite or Solvent Free Gel to speed up drying if you prefer
Assorted Brushes, including large to medium size bristle brush
