Painting Tarot Series, Episode 1: The Moon
Are you in love with Tarot? There's so much wisdom in a deck of 78 cards, isn't there?
In the past, I was told by the church that the Tarot was a creation of the devil. Hollywood certainly doesn't do these cards any good publicity.
Since then, I've started my daily Tarot practice, continued learning about Tarot, and the images have been coming to me to be painted.
This Tarot Painting series is a series of time lapse videos of my process of creating these Tarot paintings as they come to me. As a result, they don't follow the order of the cards.
In the videos, I'll explain the symbols, and simple interpretations of the specific card in a reading. You'll also hear me throw in a few tips of painting techniques in there.
The Moon was the first one that came to me, and here's the first video:
Here are the resources mentioned in the video:
Oil paints I used are mostly from Gamblin:
Ultramarine Blue, Raw Umber, Radiant Green, Radiant Red, Cadmium Yellow Light, Quinacridone Red, Radiant Violet, Flake White Replacement, Ivory Black.
Have you any experience with The Moon in a reading?
Please share in the comment below. I would LOVE to know about it!
