"Every After" Book Launch and Giveaway

Hey friends,

I’m so excited to finally announce that my artwork has gotten into a published book! YAY!

I remember when I just started my art journey 7 years ago, I bought a few mixed media books with many inspiring art projects, soaking up different artists’ techniques and aesthetics, and wishing that one day I would be able to make art that beautiful.

Fast forward to today, my own artwork is in one of these books!

I’m also giving away one of this book you see above. Scroll to the end of the post to see how to enter.

What is Ever After, the book?

The book Ever After is based on one of Tamara Laporte’s popular series of online classes by the same name.

Both the book and the online courses are based on creating fairytale art. After each teacher shares their associations with a chosen story, you will dip into your own experiences to explore your ideas, experiences and associations. And therefore make art that is personally meaningful to you.

You will learn new techniques as each teacher also shares their techniques and art supplies. You get to experiment and decide what is for you and what is not.

Through these explorations, you are, in essence, starting to develop your own artist style!

What Art Projects are in the Ever After Book?

The featured fairy tales include: Alice in Wonderland, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, Godilocks and The Three Bears, Mulan, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid.

Guess which project is mine?

My project is Mulan, and I share how my understanding or takeaway from this ancient Chinese story has changed and evolved as I change and evolve as a person. In terms of techniques, we are playing with Oil Pastels!
